fre:ac is a free audio converter and CD ripper integrating various formats and encoders. It supports MP3, MP4/M4A, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC and Bonk files.

fre:ac makes it easy to convert your audio CDs to MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files for use with your hardware player or favorite audio software. The program supports the CDDB/freedb online CD database and CDText and automatically writes song information to ID3v2 or Vorbis comment tags.

fre:ac comes with a multilingual user interface and is currently available in 36 languages. New translations can be added easily using the ´smooth Translator´ utility that is included in the distribution.
